CALIFORNIA

54 hours until

we get to

CALIFORNIA 

in a white pick-up truck

with a girl named CLOVER in the back

who was on her way to VEGAS

for a change 

but we aren't about to ask her questions

because are hearts are set on 

LOS ANGELES

but for tonight, we'd sleep under

the stars in KNOXVILLE and dream of what's to come

and then in the morning

we'd cross the country like our ancestors did or so they told us and

we'd make it to DENVER

with only 17 hours to go

we could almost feel the desert

and the warmth of the sun 

and soon the ocean would blanket us

with love and we would never ever 

leave again
