dylan and the snow...

so here in brooklyn as many of you on the east coast were dumped on with more than a foot of snow over night...dylan was born in feb. and this is her first real blizzard...the snow reminds me of my youth in toronto, canada sledding for hours in the ravine behind my friend ashley gordon's house...and in wisconsin having a snow day.....so last night we got a babysitter and went to the east village to a bar called east village tavern and watched the saints lose to the cowboys....then we got home fairly buzzed and I had to walk the babysitter home in the snow at 1:30, good times...we are heading to new orleans this week for the holiday, we'll be in baton rouge then new orleans, looking forward to escaping the nyc weather for a minute and drinking some bloody's in the quarter....hope all you BRD readers are having a great holiday and check in soon! are there other readers? i feel like a stalker, seeing how i'm the only one leaving comments. ~smiling~

anyways...go cowboys! teasing! i'm in texas, but by no means a cowboys fan. hehe

the only states i've lived in with snow was utah and missouri. i don't miss it.

the wonderful thing about children? there are a lot of firsts.

i leave you with one of my favorite quotes. it comes from the book, 'love in the time of cholera'.

"she discovered with great delight that one does not love one's children just because they are one's children but because of the friendship formed while raising them."
