Blood is thicker than water? Really? That's some old world facts your giving me. Some last century "facts" you spout. My friends are my family. And that's no slam on my fam. It's just that it doesn't matter who you spend your time with. It matters how you treat each other. And if you have better relations with your friends than your family, than they're your family. I know some will comment on the importance of the family unit but we need to judge each other on how we treat the ones we love and if the ones we love are our friends, than so be it. It's like marriage. Everyone can have a piece of it. Men with women. Women with women. Men with men. Let the old traditions fade. Because they don't work today. In embracing our neighbors who are our friends, we get to learn about people unlike us. People with different backgrounds who had different upbringings and bring a new perspective to the table. How cool is that? What I'm I loving these days you ask? When my friends are so close that they are family and you can't distinguish blood from water, so to speak.
