wax tailor at gramercy theatre

French artist Wax Tailor's new album "Dusty Rainbow from the Dark" has been in heavy rotation on my Rdio.  Last week Wax played Gramercy Theatre. My wife and I went.  Like a dance party at an art show, the theatre was sold-out.  It was like we were transported to a beach in the South of France and Wax was spinning records for a few hundred of his closest friends.  Not that the vibe was exclusionary.  It was not.  It was just that it felt like here we were all in on a little secret.  But Wax is no secret in Europe.  And he soon won't be a secret here.  So I felt lucky to be at the show.  To have a babysitter.   To be out on the town with friends. And my wife.  Baby lockdown or not, I was living in the moment.  And appreciating it.  And Wax put on a killer show. If you have the chance to see him live, I suggest you do.  If not, check out Dusty Rainbow From The Dark.
