the certainty of uncertainty

There's something settling about the certainty of uncertainty in life.  It's as if without life's struggles there'd be no point to living at all.  We are reminded of this everyday.  Apart of living is defining who you are.  And until you really get there everything that's unsettling can be looked at whichever way you choose.  You could go through life cursing at all the unfairness you face and your circumstances. Most of us do this all the time.  We can't accept life's obstacles and we focus our attention on the wrong things. We let time pass.   We regress and we forget about what's important in life. And we forget about the ones around us.

And we are wrapped up in our own lives attempting to define ourselves through work, money and status.  But it doesn't have to be like that.  We don't have to live like our parents.  We don't have to accept their traditions.  We are living proof that time can change anything.  We have seen how technology can change our world for the better and we need to continue to be open to it.  And like Steve Jobs showed us, we need to accept the infinite possibilities in how we can change our world and change it for the better.   But we need to get more folks on board.  Because the world is changing fast around us.  And if you don't stop and look around every once in a while, you could miss it.

And the flowers are growing again and it feels like summer.  And this is something I'm certain of.
And in the words of Bob Dylan: "You better start swimming before you sink like a stone."
