the kids are alright

We did it.  The first month of school is in the can for Dylan, our 4-year old daughter (see above). Now just 14 more years and then she'll be off to college.  Or not.  Who knows what you'll need to survive when she gets out of school.  But more on that later.  Like in 12 years.  Because for now I've got enough to think about.  Like this one.

So to update y'all, they took out Harper's 14 stitches on her chin and she's doing well.  Like totally fine. Like don't worry, kids fall and they recover. And Dylan, the school girl, took a spill in the playground during recess yesterday.  What's up with my kids always falling??  She had to go to the nurse's office and she came home with a fat lip.  And a note from the nurse.  I told her it was no big deal and that I went to the nurse's office all the time as a kid.  But for different reasons.  More on that later. Or not.  But Dylan likes school and she has some new friends from class.  One of which she got married to but the marriage seems to have fizzled out because she hasn't mentioned him in awhile. I'm sure there will be more of those in the days to come.  And if "he" was the "one" but it doesn't work out, maybe she'll write a song for him like this one day.
