why getting my kid to school is not a walk through the park

Firstly, my daughter Dylan doesn't like the cold.  Too bad she doesn't live in LA.  Because it's cold here in Brooklyn.  And getting her to school (daycare) is like going to war everyday.  She procrastinates.  She dresses her baby doll and when the doll's sock falls off and gets wet on the ground, she blames me.  And baby Harper is in the Ergo looking at her sister as if she were the coolest girl ever.  Great.  Harper's going to be just like Dylan.  This is every morning for us in the winter.  Even when Dylan doesn't wake up too early. (Harper's been waking her up early in the morning since they share a room now).  Some days I have my neighbor watch the baby while I practically drag Dylan down the stairs to put her in the stroller.  And it's not like she's not a "good girl".  Because you can bet that when I pick her up from school later in the day, she'll be like, "Hi dadda, I missed you" and hugging my leg. And my heart melts and I forget all about the "war" that went on that morning.  If only the world could learn from us.
